Applications
Recommended areas for usage include kitchen backsplashes, background walls, shower and tub surrounds, . Glass cannot be installed on the floor as it may fracture when hited by extreme weights and is vulnerable to scratching. Glass mosaic sheets can be used in various techniques to enhance your project:
A) Full sheet for large areas
B) Cutting the sheets into strips to create a border effect
C) Cutting the sheets into different sizes to use as an insert
IInstall Instructions:
1. Preparation of the wall surface: Make sure the wall surface to be smooth, flat, solid, dry and perfectly clean. We suggest to create a white base about 2mm.
2. Preparation for lying: Score lines on the surface to help the sheet posited correctly.
3. Laying: Using the straight of a towel spread out the adhesive uniformly on the wall. Make sure the adhesive spread all the surface. One time should not be more then 1m2.
Press the fiberglass mesh backing directing into adhesive.
4. Grouting: Using a grout for particular care, spread the grout using a rubber flout. Make sure no more then 2 m2 of area at a time, and then leave the grout drying.
5. Cleaning: Using a damp sponge to remove any grout.
6. Cutting Glass Mosaic: A wet saw with a diamond blade designed to cut glass is recommended. Cut the glass mosaic with the meshed side up. For intricate cuts too small for the wet saw, glass nippers can be used.
Cleaning: Using normal neutral detergent for daily cleaning, Using a slightly acidic detergent for special cleaning.
